Sadly the results did not go the right way but Captain Brad did point out a few facts on the match:
- Certain team members had travelled a long way (some two whole miles) in bleak conditions to get there.
- They got off to a very fast start…another eight sets and we would have been right in there.
- There were many great rallies (mostly on the other court) and if you deduct the final shot of the rallies, it would have been a close fought contest.
All things said and done, Westside was a lot sharper than the Pubs on the day and provided a very generous drinks and food post-match. A good morning and thanks to Austin for the hospitality and organisation.
