The fixture was played indoors, at Edgbaston Priory Club (“EPC”) on Saturday, 22 October. The matches against the EPC second pair resulted in two solid wins for the PUBS. However, both matches against the EPC first pair were extremely close, with match points for the PUBS in both matches, but unfortunately these were not converted. However, this helped to pick up a couple of vital sets to ensure the winning draw for the PUBS.
As usual, a great fixture enjoyed by all. The hosts were extremely hospitable and they put on a great match tea and drinks afterwards in their very impressive clubhouse. A great day of tennis and socialising.
