Over the weekend, the second qualifying event for the D’Abernon Cup took place indoors at St. George’s College. The teams contesting the day were the Old Georgians, Old Wellingtonians, Old Salopians, Old Etonians, Lancing Old Boys and Old Rugbeians.

The Old Georgian’s were keen to impress and put on a dominant display of tennis winning all their matches with the loss of just four games during the day – a team to look out for in the quarter-finals. The battle for second place was tightly contested and the Old Etonians coming through, winning four matches.

Overall, some excellent tennis on show and another successful qualifying event. Our thanks go to St. George’s College for hosting the event.

The final qualifying event is taking place on Sunday, 28 April 2019 at David Lloyd Raynes Park where we will see the final two teams compete for the last two spaces for the quarter-final draw.
